Sortello is a color-sorting logic puzzle game developed and published by ByteSolo Labs. We believe in software that respects your attention, device, and personal privacy. Sortello is architected from the ground up to operate without requiring any user registration, passwords, or personal data collection.
This Privacy Policy covers your use of Sortello across all distribution channels, including the Android application (distributed via Google Play) and the interactive Reddit application (powered by Reddit's Devvit developer platform).
We do not collect, process, sell, rent, or trade your personal identifiable information (PII). Specifically:
In the standalone Android app, all gameplay data—including active tube layouts, move counts, undo history, win completion records, streak counts, vault keys, and player preferences (such as haptic feedback intensity and high-contrast color palette settings)—is stored strictly on your local device via local private application preferences.
How to Delete Your Data: You maintain full control over your stored records at all times:
To support game operations and maintain high technical reliability on Android devices, Sortello integrates reputable third-party services provided by Google:
Sortello offers optional rewarded video advertisements (which allow players to unlock archived puzzle keys or rescue a missed daily streak). These ads are served through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). Sortello does not display unsolicited popup or interstitial banner ads during active gameplay.
Sortello uses Google Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase to detect runtime crashes, monitor rendering performance, and understand high-level gameplay trends (such as daily puzzle completion rates and streak achievements).
When playing Sortello inside Reddit via interactive posts powered by the Reddit Devvit developer platform:
When you share a challenge link with a friend (e.g. https://sortello.bytesololabs.com/g?g=...), the link contains only a lightweight, base64-encoded game seed representing the color distribution, minimum moves, and puzzle date. No personal identifiers, IP addresses, or device metadata are embedded in or transmitted through shared links.
Sortello is a general-audience logic puzzle game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will promptly delete it.
